The fitness training apparatus has a base frame (10) to support the components. A rotating body (30) is at an angle to the base frame, with footrest boards (31) at the ends for the user to stand. As the body is rotated to and fro, the footrests are alternately raised and lowered. A stop unit (50) is at the base frame, as a frame (51) with two straight side walls (52). The rotating body has a projecting pin (32), between the side walls to define its arc of swing movement, with an elastomer at its end to dampen the striking forces against the walls. The base of the stop frame has a setting screw (54) to adjust the position of the frame in relation to the pin and set the swing angle.
