The fastening system of holding and supporting articles has a fastening screw (2) which is guided through a guide sleeve (3) which together with the screw is guided through a bore in a mounting tube (4). The screw then passes through a spacer (5) and finally is screwed into a dowel (7). The guide sleeve in length is made shorter than the diameter of the mounting tube, therefore the fastening screw can be recessed in the mounting tube. The spacer on the forward end is deformed by two-sided notching in relation to the mounting tube.
