The valve arrangement (1) is integrated in a pipe (4) containing an explosive gas at one side of the arrangement (1) and a non-explosive gas at the opposite side. In case of an explosion the valves (3) have to react as quickly as possible. The arrangement (1) comprises a disk (2) fitted with a multitude of non-return valves (3) of a small diameter. A locking element is attached to a shaft inside the valve (3) kept open by a spring which is comparatively soft in order not to interfere when the pressure is increased.
