The appliance for stacking flat structures (54) for punching out from a basic elongated, cube-shaped stack (26) contains a hollow cylindrical punching-tool (16). A punching element (14) in the form of a support plate forming part of a support bench (22) takes the basic stack for punching. A counter-pressure punch (18) moves to and fro towards the punching element and through the punching tool. The finished stack is removed sideways by a container. The end (46) of the support bench facing the support plate (20) has a slide unit (50) moving the basic stack towards the punching-tool. The end of the support bench facing the slide unit has an aligning element (44) which aligns the basic stack under the punching tool.
