The system has a physiochemical parameter sensing unit (1), and an activating unit to activate operating units of an entity. A grouping unit is situated in a dangerous zone to group the data issued from sensing unit and activating unit. A processing unit (5) is situated in a non-dangerous zone to process the digital signals. A transferring unit transfers digital signals between the grouping unit and the processing unit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a synthesis gas producing installation (b) a process for controlling and commanding an installation that has the risk linked to the inflammability of the synthesis gas.
