The use of a poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) to produce an anti-adhesion screen on implants used during the surgical repair of ventral ruptures and hernias, especially abdominal wall hernias

The use of a copolymer of poly(lactide-co-glycolide) to produce, within a prosthetic implant a screen with non-adhesion properties with respect to the biological tissues bordering a post-traumatic site and a prosthetic implant comprising such a screen. An independent claim is included for a method of fabrication of the multilayer prosthetic implant comprising the steps of (1) creating a membrane from poly(lactide-co-glycolide) as the main constituent; (2) coating the posterior face of the textile support with a solution of poly(lactide-co- glycolide) dissolved in a solvent; (3) lamination of the membrane onto the posterior face of the textile support in such a way that it is not deformed by the support and preserves a smooth appearance.
