The converter has a magnetic circuit with four primary windings and two secondary windings. Respective primary windings are connected in series to form respective coil units. One end of one coil unit is connected to a positive supply line. A switching unit (Q1) is connected between a negative supply line and other end of the coil unit. A capacitor (C1) is connected between a negative terminal and one end of another coil unit. Two primary windings are coupled magnetically to each secondary winding. An independent claim is also included for an integrated transformer assembly.
