The screen has pulpwood billets (1) arranged adjacent to each other and having a height of 3.5 meters. A geo-textile band (2) of height 1.75 meters is fixed on an outer part of the billets for filtering water and for retaining sand (3). The billets are inclined along an obtuse angle of 80 degrees with respect to the level of water and are pushed in the sand.
