Tire tread with better adherence to wet roads, e.g. for cars and other vehicles, based on a silica-filled rubber composition containing butyl rubber and other diene elastomers with glycerol trioleate as plasticizers

Tire tread containing rubber composition(s) comprising diene elastomer(s) (I), inorganic reinforcing filler (II), coupling agent (III) and plasticizers (IV), in which (I) contains 30 phr butyl rubber (parts by weight per 100 parts elastomer) and (IV) is a triester of glycerol and 12-22C unsaturated fatty acid. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of Tire tread with better adherence on wet roads, by mixing components (I)-(IV) in a mixer until the temperature of the mix reaches 130-200[deg]C, adding a crosslinking system, mixing at not above 120[deg]C and extruding or calendering the composition as a tire tread (2) tires with tread as defined above.
