An induction tool comprises an electrode disposed in an insulating tool body at a selected location between a bucking coil and receiver, where selected location is spaced from a transmitter at a distance corresponding approximately to a harmonic mean of a distance between transmitter and bucking coil, and a distance between transmitter and receiver, and where electrode includes a contact forming a conductive path to conductive mandrel.
