The shaft has an extreme part (7) with maximum length (A) housed in housing and with a twisted pyramid trunk geometry extending between a base (8) and a free end (9) of the extreme part. The twisted pyramid trunk has four plane sides adjacent to each other on the circumference of the flexible shaft. An independent claim is also included for a system of adjusting a seat of a motor vehicle.
