The method involves measuring a sound such that two acoustic transducers generate acoustic signals representing sound waves generated by a vehicle during its movement. Two passage moments at which the vehicle crosses respective parallel median planes is detected from the sound measured by the transducers. Speed of the vehicle is established from a time interval elapsed between the moments and a distance separating the planes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an information recording medium having instruction for executing a method of measuring speed of a vehicle (B) a system for measuring speed of a vehicle.
