The method involves providing a radio frequency identification (RFID) transmission/reception device (180) in a mobile telephone terminal (100), and separately providing an RFID tag (210) in the terminal, where the tag enters into short-range wireless communication with the device. Personal data, e.g. phonebook data, is entered in a working memory (212) of the tag once the identity of the tag is verified, when the data is created or modified in the terminal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a secured assembly with a mobile terminal; (b) a method for protecting a mobile terminal; and (c) a method for securing a transaction such as payment transaction, between a mobile terminal and a remote equipment through a network.
