The device has a current transformer rectifier unit (10) providing a holding current on a motor having a rotor. The current is applied to the motor according to a force necessary for preventing reverse rotation of the rotor so that the partition is maintained in an open position. A resistor (R2) absorbs an electromotive force generated by the motor while the partition is moved from the open position to a closed position.
