The method involves inserting a base (2) of a post (1) in the ground so that a sleeve (4) of the base is vertical and an upper end of the base rises above the ground, and inserting a stake (3) inside the sleeve, for mounting the post. The stake is withdrawn from the sleeve, for dismounting the post. The stake has a U section whose outer dimensions are less than inner dimensions of the sleeve section. An independent claim is also included for a vineyard fence comprising a post.
