PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting roll material for hot rolling which is excellent in both of wear resistance and seizure resistance.;SOLUTION: The casting roll material is composed of a composition containing, by mass, 0.8 to 2.5% C, 0.2 to 2% Si, 0.2 to 2% Mn, 0.8 to 4% Cr, 0.5 to 3% Mo, further contains 0.3 to 0.7% P, and consists of the balance Fe and inevitable impurities, and may further contain selectively one or a plurality from 3% V, 1% Nb, or ≤3% Ni. The casting roll whose outer layer is composed of such composition, is constituted, and thereby the roll for hot rolling appropriate for rolling a seamless steel tube and steel shapes having the wear resistance and the seizure resistance in combination can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
