PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation cover capable of achieving such a sound level that a person become anxious about flowing water noise in a pipe laid in a building when the person is present in an indoor space such as a living room, and a pipe body with the sound insulation cover.;SOLUTION: This sound insulation cover comprises a reflective layer having a tensile elastic modulus of 20,000 N/cm² or higher and formed of a synthetic resin woven fabric with a flexibility enabling the reflective layer to be laid along the pipe, a vibration damping layer fittedly formed on the reflective layer and formed of a viscoelastic body having an average storage modulus of 1 Mpa or higher in the measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity (room temperature and 10 to 100 Hz in frequency) and a viscoelastic responsiveness of 0.2 to 1 in average tan δ value, and a sound absorbing layer fittedly formed on the vibration damping layer, formed of a communication hole type porous material, and having a thickness of 5 to 20 mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
