PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porphyrin metal complex capable of forming an oxygen complex stable over a longer period and effectively acting as an oxygen infusion or a porphyrin compound as a precursor of the complex. PSOLUTION: The porphyrin compound is expressed by formula [I] (RSB1/SBis a (substituted) straight-chain or alicyclic hydrocarbon group; RSB2/SBis an alkylene; RSB3/SBis a group allowing the coordination of imidazolyl group to the center transition metal ion M in the case of coordinating a transition metal ion M of the 4-5 period; and R is methylene group or ethylene group).
