PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fuel kernel for a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor of reducing a content rate of impurities. PSOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the fuel kernel for the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor is characterized in that: particles of uranium oxide having the mole ratio over 2 of oxygen/uranium are inputted into a heat-resistant container having a through hole communicating the inside with the outside; heat treatment is applied, while introducing forcibly a reductive gas to the inside of the heat-resistant container; and thereafter sintering is performed by raising the temperature.
