PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation management system equipped with a means modifying software and recovering a system by remote control even when an auxiliary memory device breaks down, a remote maintenance method of the operation management system, and a station processing device for the operation management system, in a plurality of station processing devices installed with the software, a remote maintenance device distributing a set of modified software, and a system to which a communicating means for communicating between the station processing devices and the remote maintenance device is connected.;SOLUTION: In case that auxiliary memory devices of the station processing devices 31 to 3n break down, only OS and communication software is started up by a stand-by auxiliary memory device for temporary recovery. After the temporary recovery, it is checked whether the software of the station processing devices 31 to 3n is the most suitable or not from the remote maintenance device 2. If it is determined that the software is not the most suitable version, the remote maintenance device 2 distributes the most suitable version of the software to the station processing devices 31 to 3n, and reboot the system.
