PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely start construction even on the occurrence of a slip on one drive wheel, at the start of the construction.;SOLUTION: Right and left hydraulic motors 9 are connected to an ejection oil passage of a hydraulic pump 7 in parallel via a flow dividing valve 15; switching means 16 and 17 for making the right and left drive wheels switch between a differential-locked state and a differential-unlocked state are connected between both exits 15a of the valve 15; and a travel drive unit is equipped with a setting means for setting the right and left drive wheels in the differential-locked state for a predetermined time by switching the switching means 16 and 17, at the start of the construction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
