DIGITAL TELEVISION RECEIVING SET CONNECTED TO IEEE1394 SERIAL BUS, AND CONTROLLER MACHINE CONNECTED TO IEEE1394 SERIAL BUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily look for a program information on a program desired to reproduce out of a program information list in controller machine, such as DTV connected to an IEEE1394 serial bus, even when many programs are stored in disk type devices connected.;SOLUTION: From all disk type devices connected to a self-machine, the program information regarding the program stored in these connected devices is acquired (S25). The program information agreeing out of the acquired program information on the search conditions set up by the user is extracted (S26), and the program information database storing the extracted program information is created (S28). If the program information stored in this program information database is indicated by list on a monitor, since the program information indicated by list can be extracted only to the program information on the user requested program, the user can easily look for the program information on the program wanting to reproduce out of the program information indicated on the list.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
