PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheathed thermocouple capable of making its response speed faster, making its heat capacity smaller, having satisfactory flexibility, and being arranged in a narrow part of a robot or the like.;SOLUTION: In a sheath made of metal of SUS316, SUS310S or NCF600, a core wire of an N thermocouple element wire, E thermocouple element wire, J thermocouple element wire, T thermocouple element wire, or K thermocouple element wire is housed interposing an insulating material of an alumina (Al2O3) or a magnesium oxide (MgO) between, and the outer diameter of the sheath wherein the core wire and the insulating material are put is reduced over the whole length. The sheath is wound preventing twist, and an extra fine sheathed thermocouple whose sheath outer diameter is not larger than 0.1 mm is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
