PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an indispensable expensive dedicated device being required, having integrated real-time OS or the like for time management with superior accuracy in a transmission device for transmitting program information, in which strict time management between two devices for synchronization is required, if video image/voice/data broadcast service and program information (PSI/SI) are entered from various different devices and multiplexed.;SOLUTION: In the PSI/SI generating device 1, the need for strict time management conducted from the PSI/SI generating device 1 is canceled out by transmitting a section 202 to be transmitted from a multiplexing device 2 previously. Instead, the PSI/SI generating device 1 has the function for adding a transmission initiation time to the section 202 and a function for transmitting to the multiplexing device 2 for each cyclic group. Then, the sections to be transmitted can be switched easily by the multiplexing device 2, and time coordination among these devices becomes unnecessary, so the TS output of service with added program information can be carried out in a simple device configuration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
