PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black ink composition for an aqueous ballpoint pen and an aqueous ballpoint pen having a reduced wear of a ball receiving seat of a tip, a long writing distance, and having sufficient thickness.;SOLUTION: The black ink composition for an aqueous ballpoint pen is used in a ballpoint pen with a ball diameter of 0.38 mm or less and contains at least water, a color material and a water-soluble solvent, wherein it is characterized by using, as the above color material, a color material prepared black by mixing two or more pigments having different color indications of the C.I.
