PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse system for a group of noncontact measuring points, a reverse engineering method for a group of noncontact measuring points, and its program capable of creating smooth curved-surface data while making it easy to determine each curved surface and to create more accurate curved-surface data.;SOLUTION: The system includes a polygon data creation means for creating polygon data from group-of-points data; a polygon curvature evaluation means for obtaining the distribution of curvatures of a target from the polygon data; a curvature boundary line creation means for creating a curvature boundary line as a curvature boundary by referring to the distribution of curvatures; and a curved-surface creation means for creating curved-surface data by defining a trim surface while setting a range surrounded by the curvature boundary line as one curved surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
