PRESENCE INFORMATION UPDATING METHOD, PRESENCE INFORMATION SERVICE SYSTEM, PRESENCE RELAY SERVER FOR ROAMING NETWORK, AND AUTHENTICATION SERVER FOR THE ROAMING NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method, a communications system, and a presence relay server, by which a communication processing load of a presence server in a home network can be reduced in a mobile unit moving among a plurality of communications networks and the home network, an authentication server for each of roaming networks, and communication of the presence server, so as to solve the problem wherein presence information is transmitted to the presence server 13 for each mobile unit 3, according to an event driven type presence information updating method, and consequently, a processing load of the presence server 13 in the home network 1 is increased, in proportion to the increase of the number of the mobile units that update the presence information.;SOLUTION: A plurality of the presence information is transmitted collectively to the presence server 13 in the home network 1 by utilizing a temporary address for a mobile unit temporarily imparted to the mobile unit 3 for each allowed presence information delay time (communication quality information).
