PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of giving high coating quality with low-cost space-saving manufacturing facilities, giving good image quality at a low cost and environmentally superior to a conventional coating method because a large amount of an organic solvent is not used.;SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer, the photosensitive layer is formed on an electrically conductive support by spraying a coating liquid by an ink jet method. In a photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer and an intermediate layer, the intermediate layer is formed as above. In a photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer and a protective layer, the protective layer is formed as above.
