EYE MOVEMENT SIMULATION SYSTEM, ROBOT FOR EYE MOVEMENT SIMULATION, AND EYE MOVEMENT SIMULATION SYSTEM USING VIRTUAL REALITY

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eye movement simulation system simulating normal and abnormal human's eye movements which are useful in educating medical students and to ophthalmologist's diagnosis. PSOLUTION: The eye movement simulation system has: an eyeball unit constituted by incorporating two computer-controllable and actuator-driven eyeball parts 41SBl/SBand 41SBr/SBwhich simulate human's eye movement characteristics in places made to correspond to the head of a human; a computer-controllable and actuator-driven base unit which rotates the part where the eyeball unit is incorporated with three degrees of freedom and constituted by incorporating translation acceleration sensors 25SBl/SBand 25SBr/SB, auditory meatuses 27SBl/SBand 27SBr/SBcorresponding to the external auditory meatuses of the human, and temperature sensors 26SBl/SBand 26SBr/SB; and a computer unit which controls respective actuators of the eyeball unit and base unit.
