PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calligraphic training support system with which a student can learn the forms of letters written with a writing brush and the stroke of the writing brush effectively while physically feeling real calligraphic senses. PSOLUTION: Model brush-written-letter data are displayed on a display device 41. When the stroke of the writing brush is started, a three-dimensional force sensing apparatus 23 reads a brush stroke parameter at every moment and inputs the parameter into a brush-written-letter processing part 35, a brush stroke representation processing part 37 and a force sense processing part 27 of a personal computer 5. The brush-written-letter processing part 35 successively generates brush-written letters and displays the letters on the display device 41. The force sense processing part 27 calculates force sense data from a writing brush parameter and the brush stroke parameter and feeds the force sense back to the three-dimensional force sensing apparatus. When the stroke of the writing brush is finished, the brush stroke representation processing part 37 creates brush stroke representation data, and a comparative processing part 39 displays the created data on the display device 41 in comparison with model brush stroke representation data.
