PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly calculate the remaining water quantity from reheating operation in the use of a hot-water supply apparatus of one pipe two conduit system. ;SOLUTION: In a hot-water supply apparatus a hot-water supply conduit 10 and an additional heating conduit 20 are passed through a common heat exchanger 30 and heat is injected by a common heat-supplying means 31. In this instance there is a calculating means 40 which calculates the remaining water quantity in the bathtub 23 from the quantity of heat remaining after deduction of the quantity of absorbed heat on the hotwater supply side, absorbed on the side of the hot-water supply conduit 10 from the quantity of heat injected into the heat exchanger 30 when reheating is done by circulation in the additional heating conduit 20 with heat injected from the heat-supplying means 31, and from the rise of the bath temperature before and after the reheating. To be more specific, when the hot-water supply on the side of the hotwater supply conduit is not at work, the quantity of heat absorbed on the side of hot-water supply is calculated from the change of temperature in the hot-water supply conduit in the heat exchanger and from the capacity of the hot-water supply conduit in the heat exchanger. When the hot-water supply on the side of the hot-water supply conduit is at work, the quantity of heat absorbed on the side of hot-water supply is calculated from the difference between the temperature of the water taken into the hot-water supply conduit in the heat exchanger and the temperature of the hot water supplied and from the flow rate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
