A two-stage process for preparation of an absorbing polymer by mixing polymer particles with a liquid, distribution inside the polymer particles, where the polymer particles of the first process are mixed at such a rate that the energy of motion of the individual particles is on average higher than the adhesion energy between individual particles and the polymer particles in the second process are mixed at a slower rate than in the first process is new. A process for preparation of an absorbing polymer involving a first mixing process in which a number of absorbing polymer particles are mixed with a liquid and a second mixing process in which the liquid is distributed inside the polymer particles, where the polymer particles of the first process are mixed at such a rate that the energy of motion of the individual particles is on average higher than the adhesion energy between individual particles and the polymer particles in the second process are mixed at a slower rate than in the first process. Independent claims are included for: (1) an absorbing polymer obtained as above; (2) a composite involving an absorbing polymer and a substrate, (3) A chemical product involving the absorbing polymer; (4) a process for preparing a composite in which an absorbing polymer and a substrate and optionally an adjuvant are brought into contact.
