PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolver digital conversion method and a resolver digital conversion device wherein resolution of a resolver output signal can be improved and abnormality of a resolver can be detected.;SOLUTION: In this resolver digital conversion method, the least common multiple (1000 μsec) of a period (200 μsec) of one-phase exciting signal to be applied to the resolver and a capturing period (125 μsec) by which a two-phase resolver output signal is captured from the resolver corresponds to at least two periods (five periods) of the one-phase exciting signal, and the least common multiple (1000 μsec) is made a capturing unit term of the two-phase resolver output signal. The capturing unit term wherein eight capturing periods of the two-phase resolver output signal is made one combination is set as five periods of the one-phase exciting signal. As a result, resolution of a resolver output signal can be improved by superposing two-phase resolver output signals (Ds0-Ds7) at eight points which are captured as one combination on one period of the one-phase exciting signal, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
