PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record identification information by reliably changing a land into a pit while the prescribed region of an information recording medium is irradiated with a laser beam.;SOLUTION: The land and the pit are formed as a pair in the prescribed region of the information recording medium. The pair is irradiated with the laser beam for recording identification information. Since the land to be either of the pair is surely changed into the pit by irradiating the region with the laser beam, the identification information can be reliably recorded while the prescribed region is irradiated with the laser beam.
