PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imitation rush having ultrafine denier enabling the weaving with an existing piecework loom, composed of a fused surface skin and a porous core and produced by randomly collecting a thermoplastic synthetic resin film and forming under heating.;SOLUTION: A stock yarn 18 made of a longitudinally drawn thermoplastic synthetic resin film is inserted into a heat-constriction nozzle 20. Air introduced together with the film stock yarn 18 is released at the constriction part 20M of the nozzle to suppress the explosion of air in the forming part of the nozzle 20 during the forming of the film stock yarn 18. A uniform fused surface skin 1S is formed on the outer circumference of the soft porous core 1C. The obtained imitation rush has a straight form and an ultrafine denier of 4,500-3,000 d and nevertheless has a cross-section circularity of ≥95% and is free from defects 4 such as the exploded air mark and non-fused part on the fused surface skin 1S.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
