PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for optimizing a workflow schedule on the basis of target completion time.;SOLUTION: A difference, with which a task forming a workflow process is put into an inbox queue and estimate wait time(EWT) is subtracted from target task start time(TTST) of a work item or total sum of the EWT of the work item inside the queue and average work item processing time(AHT) of that work item based on a task station is subtracted from the TTST of this work item, is obtained, the difference as a result is divided with an advancing speed QAT for that queue to move between queue positions, and this value is calculated as rounded one. An optimizing function is applied to this queue, scaling with a work item to fail the satisfaction of target time is optimized and the order of work items in the queue is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
