The present invention generally relates to methods and compositions for increasing the efficiency of therapeutic antibodies. Its efficiency is enhanced by increasing the ADCC mechanism. More particularly, the invention relates to the use of a therapeutic antibody in combination with compounds that block an inhibitory receptor or stimulate an NK cell activating receptor for the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of therapeutic antibody treatment in human subjects.
