"METHODS FOR CONTROLING THE SPECIFIC PASTA AT A PREDEDMINED LEVEL OF AN EARLY EDIBLE FOOD PRODUCT DURING THE PREPARATION OF THE SAME AND FOR CONTROLING THE SPECIFIC PASTA OF A PREDIMINED MATERIAL AND THE PREDEMINED MATERIAL IN THE PREMEDIATE MATERIAL . Method and system for controlling specific mass at a predetermined level of an aerated edible food product during preparation. A specific mass measurement is obtained at a location sufficiently downstream of a shear unit used to form the aerated material such that the product is in an equilibrium condition. Accordingly, an adjustment can be made to the rate of introduction of the aeration gas at a location upstream of the shear unit which is calculated to accurately and reliably reduce any difference between the predetermined and measured specific masses of the product. In addition, low solubility injection gas can be used so that the specific mass of the product can soon reach equilibrium. Upstream disturbances in the specific mass of the formulation starting material can also be monitored and counterbalanced by adjustments made to the gas flow rate to assist in maintaining the desired product specific mass.
