A milling roller module for an open-cast mining machine composed of a undershoot milling roller, driving units for the milling roller, located between the milling roller and the belt conveyor flight of mined rock directing elements, located behind it, and elements fixing the milling roller on the open-cast mining machine. The horizontal lengthwise axis of the milling roller, which is also its axis of rotation, is located ahead of the running mechanism, crosswise to the running direction. Also, it is mounted and driven on both sides in bearings in the area of its butting surfaces, and on its circumferential surface, there are milling cutters and directing sheet metal plates. Mined rock is separated from the working block, taken to the direction of rotations and further delivered to the belt conveyor flight narrower than the width of machine cutting of the milling roller. The space for transporting mined rock separated from the working block in the area of the milling roller is in the form of a ring between the sleeve of the milling roller and the diameter of the milling circumference. It is characterised in that the body of the milling roller (7) is composed of its sleeve (71), in which, on both sides, there is one driving unit (8) enclosed by it. The driven shafts of the driving units (8) are connected with the milling roller (7) and permanent casings of driving units are connected with a load-carrying frame (9). Moreover, the bearings of driving units (8) are also bearings of the milling roller (7). Towards the direction of the rotations of the milling roller (7), behind the working block, there is a receiving chute (10) to take away the mined rock and deliver it to the belt conveyor flight (11) located further.
