摘要

The invention relates to a carotene-lipoprotein complex, extracted from sea buckthorn berries and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the complex comprises two fractions : a fraction P1, with a particle dimension ranging between 0.8 and 1 mm, comprising lipids, lipoproteins, carotenoid pigments, glucide derivatives, organic acids and alcohols, mineral salts and water and a fraction P2 with a particle dimension ranging between 0.2 and 0.8 mm comprising a higher lipid and lipoprotein content in comparison with the fraction P1. According to the invention, the process for preparing the complex consists in separating the fresh or congealed fruit pulp which is homogenized and separated by filtration on through a 0.8 mm mesh-sieve, there resulting a creamy fraction which is the complex P1, while from the emulsion resulting as a filtrate, there being separated the fine fraction P2 by filtration through a mesh-sieve of 0.2 mm.
