The method for treating the stump of appendix in appendectomy due to the acute appendicitis comprises the laparotomy, the extension of the appendix with mesoappendix into the surgical wound, the ligation of the mesoappendix by the silk ligature, the cut of the appendix, the sewing of the peritoneal cavity. At the distance of 1 cm from the base of the appendix, the mucosa is prepared by the scalpel, the catgut ligature is applied, the appendix is cut, the mucosa is descended into the wall of the cecum. The welding clamp of the apparatus for the biological welding of the soft tissues (high-frequency electric coagulator EC-300M1) is applied to the serous-muscular layer, and the welding pulse isdelivered for 8-12 seconds.
