METHOD FOR PROTECTION OF PUMP UNIT AGAINST HYDRO-BLOW (VARIANTS) AND APPLIANCE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION (VARIANTS)

A method for protection of pump unit against hydro-blow is in control and suppression of excess pressure in pipeline at inlet of pump plant through pass-by of part of liquid supplied through bypass pipeline with hydro-turbine controlled by power, with electric machine on shaft, connected to alternating current network. The energy of hydro-flow taken by turbine is returned to power network with some losses due to internal losses in the turbine itself and in electro-mechanical links of the system. Control of power of the turbine can be performed by two methods: by change of rate of rotation of shaft of drive electric machine due to control of frequency of network at output of the frequency transformer, or change of the level of opening of the guide apparatus. The appliance has pressure gauge at pressure collector of the pump, bypass pipeline with turbine that is placed at one shaft with electric machine, controlling valve with executive mechanism at inlet of the turbine, guide apparatus with unit for blade installation.
