PURIFICATION AND MOLECULAR CLONING OF EG III CELLULASE

The present inventon is directed to purified EG III cellulose enzyme isolatedfrom Trichoderma longibrachiatum and the amino acidsequence of the secreted (mature) and non-secreted (preprotein) forms. Thepresent invention is further directed to the DNA fragment andsequence that encodes the EG III cellulose enzyme. Also disclosed are methodsfor isolating either purified or highly enriched EG IIIcellulose obtained from Trichoderma spp. or genetically modified strains ofTrichoderma spp.
