This invention provides a binder resin emulsion for an energy device electrode that is used in an energy device electrode and more specifically is used as a binder for disposing an active material on a current collector. The binder resin emulsion is characterized by comprising a copolymer of an α-olefin with an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid neutralized with a neutralizing agent, and water. There are also provided an energy device electrode and an energy device using this emulsion.
