A method and apparatus for registering internet domain names

A method and apparatus for registering an Internet domain name for a mobile terminal (A) capable of packet-switched communication, wherein an IP address has been assigned fer the terminal in a mobile network. A domain name is first determined for the terminal, and a domain name registration request (3:4) is then sent from the mobile network to a domain name registration authority (306) on behalf of the terminal, including said domain name and said assigned IP address. If the assigned IP address later has become invalid for the terminal, a domain name dercgistration request (3:6) is preferably sent indicating that the current domain name registration is to be deleted.
