A method for manufacturing an organic fertilizer using food garbage is provided to contribute to the increase of farmer's income, prevent environmental pollution, and reduce fermentation time remarkably. A method for manufacturing an organic fertilizer using food garbage includes the steps of: (101) charging collected food garbage having a moisture content of 80-93% into a storage tank; (102) transferring the stored garbage to a dehydrator(2) and dehydrating the garbage to a moisture content of 60-70%; (103) charging the dehydrated garbage into a grinder(3) equipped with a rotating blade and a fixed blade netting plate to grind the garbage; (104) dehydrating a semi-solid type fertilizer material of the ground garbage to a moisture content of 40-50%; (105) charging a fermentation accelerator containing quicklime, sodium hydroxide, magnesium sulfate, and chlorkalk in a weight ratio of 6:2:1:1 into a mixer(5) to mix the materials; (106) adding the fermentation accelerator to the fertilizer material in a weight ratio of 2:8 and stirring the admixture; (107) charging the stirred mixture into a fermentation tank(7) and quick-fermenting the mixture to a moisture content of 20-30%; (108) passing the methane gas generated from the quick fermentation step through a washing column(8) to remove the methane gas; and (109) packaging the resultant.
