METHOD FOR ULTRASOUND DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF VITREOUS MEMBRANOUS FORMATIONS AND RETINAL DETACHMENT AT PROLIFERATIVE DIABETIC RETINOPATHY

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.;SUBSTANCE: one should carry out ultrasound scanning to obtain the series of acoustic sections at registering initial brightness of the picture. The obtained acoustic sections should be processes due to nonlinear contrasting technique to obtain their contrast picture. Moreover, one should increase the degree of contrast of differentiated formations 5- or 7-fold. Then comes segmentation of formations isolated by brightness. One should make a three-dimensional picture of differentiated formations and put initial brightness of the picture upon it to conduct visual analysis. At availability of coarse membranous cords of uneven thickness and heterogeneous structure it is possible to diagnose vitreous membranous formations, and in case of availability of cords being of equal thickness and homogeneous structure one should diagnose retinal detachment.
