The microphone has a membrane structure (11) arranged at a distance from an opposing structure (16), where an electrical capacitance between the structures depends on pressure. The structure (11) has a boundary region, which is not movable due to the pressure, on which a membrane carrier (6) is attached. The region and the structure (16) have recesses that are spaced apart from one another so that a bar is formed between the recesses. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for manufacturing a microphone.
