For reducing air pressure loss through the tire walls an inner airtight layer of composite thermoplastic plastic film is incorporated into the tire. The composite film comprises two or more layers of different thermoplastic plastics and may include a metal barrier layer and/or a layer of nano particles. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing the tubeless tire in which a composite thermoplastic film is placed into the vulcanizing mold to form a first layer before the remaining tire construction is introduced.
