Production of a solid body electrolyte material region made from a chalcogenide material based on germanium and/or silicon in combination with selenium and/or sulfur comprises using germanium and/or silicon as precursor compound or carrier compound in the form of Ge(R1)R2R3 and/or Si(R1)R2R3 (where, R1-R3 = alkoxy, alkyl, aryl, beta -diketonate, phenyl, pentadienyl, halogen or nitrate).
